la partie supérieure aux bords arrondis, percée d'un petit trou central, les côtés biseautés légèrement évasés agrémentés de deux petits crans entourés de deux dents triangulaires de chaque côté, la partie inférieure tranchante également arrondie et biseautée, la pierre de couleur  verte chamois ponctuée de taches rouges au doux poli, D.W 2620.2

Condition

The axe is in overall very good condition. There are vertical cutting marks on both smoothly polished sides and traces of cinnabar on both sides and along the edges. The inventory number is inscribed in black on the upper edge of the axe.

This small jade axe is unusual for is rounded form, a closely related example of similarly miniature size from the collection of C. T. Loo, is illustrated in C. T. Loo, An Exhibition of Chinese Archaic Jades, West Palm Beach, 1950, pl. 16.4.
