Catalogue Note

This bound collection includes maps taken from two volumes of Pitt’s abortive English Atlas, intended to emulate Blaeu’s Atlas major, but never completed. The areas covered are Germany (volume 3) and volume 1 which includes two world maps and a map of the North Pole, with the remaining sheets covering Northern and Eastern Europe.
