Catalogue Note

Control of the Tenasserim region (now the Tanintharyi Region, Myanmar) was regularly contested by Burma and Siam in the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. The British and Siamese signed a boundary demarcation treaty in 1868, hence the current detailed map. A stamped addition at the foot of the map gives an India Office registration number and is dated July 1895.
