2 volumes, oblong folio (355 x 480mm.), 25 hand-tinted albumen prints (220 x 285mm., or the reverse), mounted on thick paper, recto only, 3 letterpress descriptions pasted on the reverse, each captioned in pencil on the mount, original roan-backed cloth boards (one volume dark brown, the other red), upper covers titled 'Views of Japan', light marginal dust-soiling, a few short tears to edges of leaves (not affecting images), bindings slightly worn
