Catalogue Note
A good collection of views and buildings in Jeypore, Lahore, Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Delhi, Benares, Darjeeling, and Bombay, together with some of Ceylon, and Nepal. The earliest photographs are images taken in the 1860s after a bear hunt. Another set of images are 9 photographs by Lala Deen Dayal taken during the Prince of Wales's (later George V) tour of India in 1905-06. In addition there are a few images each of Brindisi, Aden, and Gibraltar.
