Catalogue Note
According to the preface of volume 2, part 1, only about 100 copies of volume 1, and only about 60 copies of the first part of volume 2 were saved from a fire at the printers. The latter part was therefore reprinted in 1832 in 200 copies (as in this set). Twenty-one additional leaves have been added to volume 1 in this set (between p.clxvi and p.1) updating and correcting the original edition. Volume 2, part 2, was published in 250 copies.
