Catalogue Note

Loosely inserted in this copy is a manuscript list of "Additional Plates to the four volumes...", signed by Hasted, with instructions for their placement in the volumes. This copy has 15 of the 20 plates listed by him, some of which are noted as being printed in just 9 impressions, the implication seeming to be that they were printed for large paper copies of the work.

Included with this lot is a later manuscript "Hasted's Kent. Index of Place Names in Alphabetical Order, compiled by F.W. Hardman", bound in modern cloth.
