Condition
Overall in very good condition. With some minute air bubble inclusions inherent in the making and not at all visually detracting. This vase has finely articulated movement in the blossoms and trailing leaves and vines throughout the body. The exterior with a few light and fine surface scratches to the outermost contours of the shoulder. As seen in the catalogue illustration, there is some light pooling of the iridescence to the interior which is inherent in the production of the work. Please note that the catalogue photography was taken with both frontal reflected and interior remitted light; when viewed under standard reflected light conditions the vase is less saturated in coloration; the coloration is more subtle and naturalistic. When viewing the vase in the round, the blossoms and foliage are cohesively continuous around the full circumference imparting the vase with strong lyrical movement and visual interest. The vase displays a brilliant range of strongly saturated vibrant colors to the surrounding leaves and foliage and background passages. An outstanding example.
