  • 18.5cm., 7 1/4 in. and 17.2cm., 6 3/4 in. high
modelled by Johann Peter Melchior, each wearing an elaborate Turkish costume and holding flower posies, he with a gilt-striped blue turban, yellow-lined blue coat, pink and gilt striped costume and deep pink pantaloons, his companion wearing feathers in her hair, blue cloak, a gilt and white skirt, yellow tunic and deep pink pantaloons, each standing on a grassy base edged with rockwork, both with incised marks, RM and I.S,

Condition

Male figure: The is an extended firing crack to the base which has been over-painted. The tip of his hat has also been over-painted. Female figure: The figure has been restored through the middle on the diagonal. There is over-painting to the body of the figure, her left hand has also been restored. A section of the base has also been restored.
