Condition
In overall good condition.
The Ottoman `yastik' cushion cover panels are in generally fair condition. The red and green velvet pile is even overall. Some wear in areas and to the stars in main field. The colours are bright and vibrant (but not as strident in colour as in the catalogue photograph and on-line). One panel has a water mark at one end (visible in the panel in the catalogue - which is the panel on the top of the table). The ground has some losses of weft revealing threads of warp foundation in areas of the main ground (especially to the panel at the lower level). They are protected by glass (so not removed or seen from the back).
Decorative piece.
