each with arched moulded top-rails carved with flowers, downswept arms and serpentine seats and cabriole legs, covered with late 18th/early 19th century floral Aubusson tapestry; restorations
Condition
In overall good conserved condition. Joints sound and sturdy.
The tapestry (early 19th century) is in good, stable and usable condition overall. The colours in reality are more attractive than in the catalogue photograph. The ground is not as light and startling but more muted and darker and the colours of the fruit and foliage are very bright and cheerful. The tapestry has been woven with a thick wool and is stable.
