To the naked eye: The painting appears in a relatively satisfactory condition. We notice an old frame mark, 0,5 cm. from the upper border all along the painting. We notice a panel addition on the upper right corner 15 cm. long and 2 cm. wide due to a panel accident. We notice that the cleaning has left some traces of old varnish especially on the sky. We notice some wear zones underneath the Virgin draperies and on the figures on the left. On the reverse, we notice two added panel planks fixed to the panel to adapt it to the frame's dimensions. Under UV light: We can notice some restorations on the red coat of the Virgin, on the lower left right corner and all along the lower edge. We can notice a horizontal restored panel crack all along the painting above the Virgin's head. The upper left corner appears very dark, thus let us think that the varnish was altered by the cleaning showing the red preparation underneath.
