the box of rectangular form with a hinged cover and lock, supported on bun feet, the vertical edges decorated with silver mounts, the top and sides finely carved with an oval floral palmette medallion and monumental lotus palmettes bordered by bands of foliate scrolls and floral rosettes, on a cross-hatched ground; the gaming board of rectangular form with twelve pierced fields bordered by bands of beading, supported on four round feet carved with lotus petal and beaded decoration, threaded and secured by four bead bordered screws

the box in good overall condition, crack to the base of the box, minor warping to cover, patination to mounts; the gaming board in good condition with minor staining and warping, as viewed
