Description

of ovoid form, the rounded shoulders surmounted by a tall cylindrical neck with everted rim, applied on the shoulder with a short polygonal spout and a curved triple-stranded handle, divided by a pair of lugs in between, applied on the body with three relief-molded leaf-shaped appliques enclosing grapevines, each splashed in brown and covered with a milky greenish glaze

Condition

There are several chips to the mouth rim and the spout. The center of the base protrudes slightly and has a firing crack approx. 2 1/4 in. (5.7 cm) long, so the ewer does not sit evenly.
