modeled standing, clasped hands hidden under the voluminous folds of a long gown, interrupted at the hem by the two prominent ends of fashionable Persian-style slippers, all covered in cream, green and amber-colored glaze draining in blended, soft streaks towards the low shaped base, the unglazed head with a modish, collapsed bun falling over the forehead, the face with downcast eyes, the plump cheeks dimpled by a modest half-smile, cold-painted with traces of black, pink and red pigments over white slip, Japanese box and stand (4)

Condition

The plinth and lower section of the gown and slippers restored. The head has been reattached and there is associated restoration to glaze loss around the shoulders. The front top knot may be a replacement. There is wear and abrasion overall to the glaze and surface.
