the deep rounded sides boldly incised with six lappets enclosing taotie masks, pendent from a band of galloping mythical beasts cast in relief, the base with an apocryphal Xuande mark, the waisted stand with alternating rows of raised and overlapping petals and key-fret above three double-ruyi-form legs each with a striding dragon and joined by a circular foot (2)
