both carved in shallow relief, one depicting a scholar sitting under a pine tree with a crane in flight above, with a reticulated dragon forming the suspension loop, the other depicting a meiren in a garden playing a zither, suspended from a cord strung with a coral bead and seed pearls, the reverse of both with poetic inscriptions (2)

Condition

The first plaque: the tail of the dragon has been polished down on one side. The second plaque: in overall good condition.
