with everted hexalobed rim, supported on three elephant-head feet, the exterior decorated with galloping horses above crashing waves, the rim with pairs of dragons confronting lotus heads, fitted metal liner with wood cover (3)

Condition

The elephant head feet have been attached with screws and solder. There are patches on the interior where the feet have been attached. The feet may not be original. The base may be a replacement. There are losses to the enamels, some infilled, particularly to areas around the feet and along the lower edge. The enamels are pitted. The gilding is worn off, and the surface with wear, accretion, and areas of oxidation. The fitted liner with wear and minor oxidation.
