each with a shaped crestail terminating in rounded ends over bowed posts flanking a rectangular splat divided into three sections comprised of a beaded ruyi, an archaistic chilong and a plain shaped apron, the recessed arms over a beaded and molded seat frame, the legs joined by angular-scroll openwork aprons and plain stretchers (2)

Condition

The armchairs are in good overall condition with expected and appropriate wear and consolidation of the joinery. Please note that the white- cloudy speckling visible in the catalogue is inaccurate - the finish on the surface is lustrous and clean and the wood is a rich dark brown with the distinctive characteristic flecking.
