of baluster form rising to an everted scalloped rim, flanked by a pair of molded lion-and-cub handles, enameled with panels enclosing narrative scenes taken from Sanguo yanyi (Romance of the Three Kingdoms), all against a lush ground of further shaped panels, flowers, fruits, birds and insects

Condition

Two lobes on the rim have been repaired. There are the expected glaze imperfections seen in pieces of this type such as iron spots, burst bubbles in the glaze, and glaze gaps. There is some flaking of enamels, noticeable in the light blue and to a lesser extant to the turquoise. Light signs of surface wear.
