Description

featuring a large central medallion enclosing boys at play in a garden setting, the curved sides of the cover decorated with scrolling peony flowers, the box with alternating crane and clouds, the six-character reign mark in underglaze blue within double circles (2)

Condition

The box and cover have light scratches, scattered minor burst air bubbles and iron spots. The cover has a chip to the rim approximately 1.3 cm long. The box has a hairline crack running from the rim across the center of the base, approximately 36.8 cm long with an associated chip and further scattered chips to the rim.
