ink and color on paper, finely painted with a continuous scene of Guo Ziyi's birthday celebration in his palatial home, the detailed scene showing processions of guests arriving, being served, and entertained by musicians, the first and last panels inscribed with a birthday couplet, each panel inscribed with an apocryphal Tang Yin signature and Zhengde date, impressed with collectors' seals

The panels have been reduced. There are small patches, some minor losses, touch ups, repaired tears and flattened creases distributed across the twelve panels. The panels are likely to have been hanging scrolls and as they are currently mounted are in stable condition.
