the body thinly carved as a large lotus leaf, surrounded by undercut stalks of lotus blossoms, leaves, aquatic plants and a heron, the foot carved as rolling waves
Provenance
Property from a Maine collection, formed in the 1950s.
Condition
There are a number of fissures in the stone, some of which have been incorporated into the design. Apart from minute nicks along the edges the vase is in overall good condition.
