set to either side with applied lion-mask handles with pendent rings, covered overall with a rich pale bluish-gray glaze suffused with a network of dark gray and russet crackles
Provenance
Collection of Stephen Alexander Hunter (1851-1923), acquired while serving as a missionary in China from 1879-1891 and thence by descent.

Condition
There is a stained burst bubble on one handle and light wear to the other, as well as light wear to one side of the mouth rim. Overall the vase appears to be in good condition.
