  • PORCELAIN
one plaque painted with Su Dongpo and his friends being ferried to the Red Cliff, inscribed with the opening to the Ode to the Red Cliff and dated 29th year of the republic (1940) signed Dacang Wang Li, with two seals reading Wang yin and Yili; the other plaque painted with an exterior view of a scholar in his studio, shrouded in mist, inscribed and dated jimao (1939), signed Wang Bu, with two seals reading Zhuqi and Wangshi Bu (2)

Condition

The porcelain plaques are in good overall condition. The'cliff' panel with a small area of discolored glaze beneath the inscription. Both with light wear to the surface.
