Condition
Original canvas. There is a covering of surface dirt and some discolouration of the paint layer. Minor peripheral frame abrasions with associated paint loss. There are a few areas of very fine craquelure visible in places. A small area of paint loss is just visible in the rocks in the lower left quadrant, approximately 10cm in from the wave. Examination under UV light reveals minor areas of retouching to the rocks. Held in gold coloured decorative frame with a dark wood slip. Unexamined out of frame.
