Condition
The sheet has been laid on Japanese paper. The edges are uneven. There are a couple of very small repaired tears to the bottom edge visible on the reverse. There are scattered pinholes to all edges. The paper has discoloured and there is foxing throughout, particularly visible on the reverse. There are some minor surface scratches. The sheet is hinged to the mount along the top edge. Held in a black wooden frame behind glass. Unexamined out of frame.

This set design was probably for the ballet Vision antique, which Goncharova worked on in the early 1940s and which was staged by Boris Kniaseff's company at the Marigny Theatre in Paris during the German occupation.
