Condition
Original canvas which is buckling slightly in the lower left corner. There is craquelure in places, most notably in the areas of heavy impasto such as the walls and doorframe. There is some scattered purple staining visible in the face and turban of the seated figure and above the signature in the lower right. There is a light covering of surface dirt and the paint surface has yellowed slightly. Examination under UV light reveals minor restoration to the areas below the hat of the seated figure and between his outsretched arms. Held in a decorative gold painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
