Catalogue Note

In the 1920s Serge Koussevitzky commissioned Goncharova to design the interior of his newly-built house at 8 Rue du Conseiller Collignon. As well as executing the panels for the entrance hall and the dining room, Goncharova created furniture designs. A surviving photograph of the dining room in the Koussevitzky villa shows similar items from the suite.
