Condition

The support has been laid on another piece of cardboard and it has become detached from it in places, notably in the upper right and lower right. The support is buckling in places, notably in the lower right. There is a horizontal tear across the composition approximately 30cm in length starting from the bottom of the right edge. There are minor tears and losses to all edges. There is craquelure in places with some associated flecks of paint loss, mostly restricted to the areas of impasto There is a layer of surface dirt and spots of dirt in places. Inspection under UV light does not reveal any apparent signs of retouching. Held in a gold painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
