Condition
Original canvas which is buckled throughout, most notably in the two upper corner, the stretcher is also slightly warped. There is deep craquelure across the surface which is lifting in places. There is a layer of surface dirt. The edges have slight frame abrasions with associated minor paint loss and the canvas has worn through to the stretcher in the centre of the upper edge. There are two pin holes to the lower edge. Examination under UV light reveals no apparent signs of retouching. Held in a gold coloured wooden frame with a canvas slip. Unexamined out of frame.
