Condition

View of St Mark's The edges of the board are slightly uneven and there is a small loss to the board in the centre of the upper edge and a small paint loss in the centre of the right edge. There is a pin hole in each of the lower corners and a small tear to the top layer of the board in the lower left corner. There is a thin strip of brown paper tape along the lower edge. The varnish has discoloured and there is a layer of surface dirt throughout. Examination under UV light does not reveal any obvious signs of restoration. Held in a gold painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame. View of the Doges' Palace There is a light covering of surface dirt with flecks of dirt in places. Some very minor surface scratches are visible in places. Very slight frame abrasions in places and a small area of paint loss at the left edge near the lower corner. Examination under UV light does not reveal any obvious signs of restoration. Held in an ornate gilt moulded frame. Unexamined out of frame.
