Condition

Original canvas. There are frame abrasions with associated paint loss to all four edges, to the centre of the upper edge and the centre of the bottom edge as well as some minor flecks in places. There are two horizontal parallel cracks approximately 10cm in the upper right as well as a vertical crack along the left edge. There is craquelure throughout. There is a layer of surface dirt. Inspection under UV light does not reveal any obvious signs of restoration. Held in a gold painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
