Catalogue Note
In late 1929, Tchelitchew moved into a new apartment in Paris on the rue de Vaugirard, where he worked on his 'metamorphic' compositions which merge the genres of still life and portrait. In the present lot the reclining figure is composed of kitchen utensils, such as a saucepan, bucket and jug.
