Catalogue Note

Karl Bulla was the founder of a dynasty of Russian and Soviet photographers. His son Viktor served as a war correspondent during the Russo-Japanese war and his photos, including some in the offered lot, were published in international illustrated magazines such as L'Illustration, Niva, and others.
