of unusually heavy weight, decorated with brightly colored foliate and geometric ornament in champlevé, the hinged lid with the Cyrillic initials VV in blue, apparently lacking maker's mark, 84 standard

overall very good condition; small loss to turquoise enamel on front left foot and to green at right front corner
