  • 7 1/4 x 6 in. (18.4 x 15.2 cm)
with robes sewed with pearls over gold and colored foils, the oklad and halo chased with foliate ornament, struck with Cyrillic initials VK of an unrecorded master, Moscow, 1840, 84 standard, the back covered with later silk covering complete with silk-covered strut

Condition

the surface of the icon has sustained some damage from an adhesive securing the embroidered robes to a linen support and would benefit from professional restoration, the back relined with a later velvet
