  • 12 7/8 x 10 5/8 in. (32.8 x 27 cm) (height includes halo)
the icon 18th century, the gilded silver oklad and halo finely chased, struck with initials MIT, possibly for Mikhail Timofeev, Moscow, 1818, 84 standard

Condition

the icon surface with areas of loss and restoration, including a rectangular strip at upper left and some scratching from the back of the oklad, the back of the panel painted brown and set with two splints, some small loss to wood at bottom ; the oklad bright and attractive, the tips of the rays of the halos with some bending consistent with age
