Condition

Overall measurements: 139cm across the top, 135cm across the bottom, 188cm along left side, 181cm along right side, (Design is in opposite direction to weave and nap). Pile approximately 2mm in depth, generally even, closely sheared overall, with some minute areas of spot wear and tension lines on right hand side, narrow band of wear to knot bars on about one quarter way down in borders, and another by right hand eye of div and in left hand blue abrashed area of sleeve. Hanging loops, and broad herringbone tape stitched on 'top' edge, with original silk fringes generally in good condition, lower edge with losses to fringing. Side cords generally original with some minor restorations. Generally good condition overall. Might benefit from a clean. EMBARGO ON IMPORTATION OF PERSIAN/IRANIAN WORKS OF ART TO THE USA.
