Condition

Overall measurements: 124cm across the top, 127cm across the bottom, 179cm along left side, 178cm along right side A generally even 2mm pile overall with some wear to knotheads in areas, for example to the copper coloured ground of main field in top left corner and in a horizontal strip in the lower section of the main field to the copper coloured ground underneath the medallion. There are some other spot areas of wear including areas within the border for example top left corner, and along the lower border. There are some losses to both end guards and vestiges of silk knotted fringing at top end but fringing mainly distressed at bottom end. Overlocked at both ends, losses to top right corner, as visible in the photograph. Re-overcast sidecords. There are bands of abrash particularly visible as pale blue within the borders.
