A Kashan silk carpet, Central Persia

Overall measurements; 293cm across the top, 290cm across the bottom, 382cm left hand side, 382cm right hand side. Pile approximately 2mm but flattened and a bit mangled but otherwise in good condition, carpet needs a thorough clean. Edge of outermost guardstripes trimmed, sides re-overlocked. Ends with applied silk fringing. Minor amount of cracking in upper right hand corner along edge. Pretty colouring and should look very smart once cleaned.
