Overall measurements: 265cm across the top, 274cm across the bottom, 390cm along left side, 386cm along right side
Even 2mm with some areas down to knotbars, for example centre and left of inner medallion, top left corner of the border and center and top of lower right corner quadrant. There are some small areas of re-piled repair, for example in the top right quadrant within the main field and the yellow ground inner border: these are visible as whiter areas of pile than surrounding colouration, as seen in the image, and some smaller examples of similar repair in the very centre of the carpet and in the lower right quadrant within the outer main field ground, as visible in the photograph. Original double side cords. Some losses to end guards, especially in the corners. Both ends overlocked. Later teased cotton fringes at both ends. Subtle abrash visible across main field. Some minor oxidisation to browns.
