Condition

Overall measurements: 347cm across the top, 351cm across the bottom, 480cm along left side, 481cm along right side Lower end slightly wobbly shape. Pile generally even 2mm pile overall; down to knotbars in areas, especially within the main field and cream coloured central ground as visible in the photograph. There are scattered surface marks especially top right border. There are some scattered repairs, for example within lower left quadrant there is a square patch within the coral ground, approximately 10 by 10cm. There is a section of repair within border lower left side, where there is evidence of old moth damage on reverse. And other similar in top left vertical section of the border. There is a small repaired vertical split centre of lower border. There is a shaped area of re-piling centre right border approximately 26 by 22cm. and a small hole to the right of this area in the dark brown outer guard. Top end with later outer guard reweave across width within the left section (approx 145cm. wide) and repaired vertical join centre top border, and slightly irregular vertical line further line further across the right hand corner. Distance between these two vertical lines is 104cm wide. Both ends with running stitch across both ends with teased foundation fringing, not overlocked.
