Condition
Overall measurements: 250cm across the top, 250cm across the bottom, 340cm along left side, 348cm along right side
The ground is more camel in colour than the cream in the printed catalogue. Pile generally even, 3mm overall with some wear down to knotbars in areas especially along the vertical axis in the top half including the border. Also in areas on right side of main field. There is some oxidisation in areas to the dark browns for example tree stems and vase motifs within main field and there is also oxidisation to the taupe colour, for example within palmettes in border, left side and top edge. Top end with trimmed fringe and sections of running stitch: not overlocked. Lower end with similarly with trimmed fringe and running stitch across entire width: not overlocked. Both sides with re-overcast side cords. Some minor scattered repairs. A decorative carpet of good size, lustrous wool, and attractive colouration.
