Condition

This somewhat warm-toned photograph, on double-weight paper with a surface sheen, is in generally very good condition. A sharp, 1/2-inch, crescent-shaped handing crease in the lower left quadrant is visible only in raking light. Age-darkening and warm-toned discoloration are pervasive throughout the margins. Frank's signature, title, and date have faded somewhat. There are creases in the lower right corner of the margin. The tips of the margin corners are bumped, with the top paper-ply folded back. On the reverse of the print, '22' and 'RF.140.x [or y]' are written in an unidentified hand in pencil. It is believed that only 4 prints of this image, including the present print, have previously been offered at auction.
