the tiger-taming luohan finely carved as seated on large jagged rockwork with his left hand resting on his left knee and his right hand in mid-air as if subduing the tiger prancing at his feet, the luohan depicted with thick furrowed brows and curly facial hair, flanked by long pendulous earlobes adorned with earrings, the stippled surface with a lustrous patina
