deftly carved as a rocky landscape setting with a pavilion set next to a river amidst large jagged boulders and clusters of trees, a small boat depicted between the steps and the pavilion, the scene picked out with a walking figure in front of the pavilion, the seal face carved with an inscription alluding to Sushi's poem Chi Bi Fu ('Ode to the Red Cliff') reading jiang shan zhi qing feng shan jian zhi ming yue
