Description

  • cloisonne
the faceted white jadeite lanterns with incised dragons and gilt metal mounts.

Condition

Both lantern holders have expected wear and minor losses of enamel. There are minor areas of wax in-fill to losses along edges and a larger area along the 'neck' of one of the supports. The gilding is worn and possibly re-touched and there appear to be patch repairs to the gilt metal along the underside of one of the phoenix 'necks'.
