Description

comprising: a pair of fruit coolers, liners and covers, a pair of footed sauce tureens and covers, four shaped oval dishes, two shell-shaped dishes and thirty-four dessert plates, impressed crowned FBB marks, twenty-two plates also with printed Royal arms, Prince of Wales feathers and Flight Barr & Barr circular marks in puce. 50 pieces.
Condition
There is some very minor and occasional rubbing to the gilding overall. All in good condition, except
Pair of fruit coolers, liners and covers: One cooler has taken a hit from the side with extensive cracks running around the lower body from one handle to the other and up to the rimedge; the cracks are repaired with rivets. There are further small chips to the edges of the handles and some of the beadwork has been broken away from the lower body. One cover has a riveted crack running all the way across from one end of the rim edge to the other and has one associated 1-inch rim chip and another 1-inch flatchip to the rim edge. The same cover's knop has been off and glued back, The other cooler has a small chip to the edge of one ear of the ram on one handle.
Pair of footed sauce tureens and covers: One tureen has an approximate 1-inch restored rim chip; the restoration is old and has discolored. The other tureen has a large section broken off at the rim and glued back; the break covers an area measuring halfway around the circumference of the rim edge. One cover has the knob broken off and glued back.
Four shaped oval dishes: One dish with a minuscule chip to the rim edge, another dish with two chips to the underside of the rim. A third dish with an extensive riveted crack and two small chips to the underside of the rim.
Thirty-four dessert plates: four plates, each with extensive riveted cracks. One with a 1/2-inch restored rim chip and a further small rim chip. One plate with a 2-inch chip to the footrim. Seven plates, each with a small chip to the underside of the rim, one of which issues a short haircrack, and two plates each with two small chips to the underside of the rim.
