finely painted below the gilt script monogram WB with a portrait of one of the China Mill's horses, the underside inscribed A Gift from Flight Barr and Barr, Worcester, to M Walter Benton, for the perfect cure of a canker in the foot of one of their China Mill Horses.

Condition

There is a hair crack running horizontally around the shoulder approx. four fifths of the way around the neck of the jug, Running partly on the shoulder and partly in the neck. It is stained in places and is partly visible in the catalogue photo as a brown line running through the gilt monogram. there are slight surface scratches to the enamel on the painted horse.
